STS Principal Geologist to Present Paper at 2001 AEG/AIPG Joint Annual Meeting

STS Consultants, Ltd. (STS) announces that Richard G. Berggreen, R.G., C.P.G. has had his abstract entitled, "Remediating Legacies of Radioactive Materials Use in Chicago, Illinois," accepted for presentation at the 2001 Association of Engineering Geologists/American Institute of Professional Geologists (AEG/AIPG) Joint Annual Meeting. Berggreen's oral presentation will be on Thursday, October 4, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. The AEG/AIPG Joint Annual Meeting will occur in St. Louis, Missouri at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Union Station from October 3-5, 2001.

Berggreen is a Principal Geologist in the Environmental Sciences Group at STS with responsibility for environmental and hazardous waste evaluations. These evaluations include low-level radioactive waste investigation and remediation projects, municipal and hazardous waste landfill investigations, soil and groundwater monitoring, remediation projects at industrial facilities, and remedial investigations at waste disposal sites. Berggreen has over 26 years of experience working in the industry.
