STS Project Geophysicist to Present Paper at 2001 AEG/AIPG Joint Annual Meeting

STS Consultants, Ltd. (STS) announces that Bridget L. Calhoun will present a paper entitled, "Geophysical Characterization of a Former Industrial Property, Chicago, Illinois" at the 2001 Association of Engineering Geologists/American Institute of Professional Geologists (AEG/AIPG) Joint Annual Meeting. The AEG/AIPG Joint Annual Meeting will occur in St. Louis, Missouri at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Union Station from October 3-5, 2001. Calhoun's oral presentation will be on Thursday, October 4, 2001 at 4:20 p.m., with the paper serving as an analysis of a non-destructive geophysical investigation performed at the US Steel -South Works property in Chicago. Calhoun's co-authors for this paper include John L. Petruccione, P.G., Senior Geophysicist, and Ted D. Bushell, P.E., Principal Engineer, at STS.

At STS, Calhoun is responsible for the design, implementation, modeling and interpretation of geophysical surveys. Her projects have utilized a variety of geophysical methods to locate buried utilities, underground storage tanks (USTs) and debris, define landfill boundaries, delineate buried engineering structures, and map groundwater contamination.
